Well, this was a different one.
Intimate, small and breathtaking. And a massive surprise 5 months later.
Initially Natasha and Peter came to us with this idea of having their little secret elopement captured and put together into a film that would tell their wedding day story.
Not only that, they had this master plan of keeping the wedding elopement a secret for 5 months. Then, one normal weekend evening they would invite their closest friends and family over for dinner. Later in the evening, unsuspectedly, they would show them a video that would turn out to be their most special day recorded and produced into a elopement wedding film. (Feature film above) With the intention of a massive surprise.
So what happened?
Well you can just imagine, there were a lot of mixed emotions going around… But that was the whole plan from the start!
Surprised faces, WOW, shock, confusion, tears of joy!
The funny thing was, that no one even knew they were even engaged, let alone being married. Not to mention, they had to keep this a secret for nearly 5 months.
As for the location, O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat is one of those places that one must visit. It has some of the most breathtaking views, and not to mention that you feel like the only person in the world when you’re there.
On the day, we were only a handful of people which made it such a lovely & intimate experience. Consisting of Natasha & Peter, the photographers, celebrant and us. It almost felt like we were the guests of the wedding! Really cool feeling.
Overall, Natasha and Peter’s O’Reilly’s Rainforest Elopement Wedding Video, was a very unique experience to be apart off. I guess you can say, a very different approach and something we are very glad we could have experienced.
The hardest thing of all, was having to keep quiet about their wedding day for nearly 7 months.. Secret phone calls, different email addresses and secret meetings. We could not risk anyone finding out about Natasha and Peter’s master plan!
Below you will find a shorter & sweet version (highlight) of their elopement wedding.
If you haven’t already watched the above feature film (the film that created all those emotions), watch it before moving onto the short version. :’)
Till next time!
Chrizelle & Andre
